The kind of doctor I play on TV: tall, dark and handsy!

Inspired by current events, I wrote and produced this commercial parody for Wall Street Realty. “We want to help you into the next place you’ll occupy.” Enjoy!
Many thanks to my friends who helped make this happen.
Last week, I took a trip with some friends. We got all dressed up and went into the future, and we came back with footage of Colin Firth’s acceptance speech from this coming Sunday. Enjoy!
For all you fans of R-rated web comedies referencing old video games, check out Curse of the Duck Hunt Dog (also available on Cracked.com and YouTube).
I appear briefly about 2 minutes into it. Hardy har har! Good times — and awkward, trust me — making this short! Thanks to Jacob, Justin, Jennifer and all for that!
Some weeks ago, I spent a lovely day in Malibu making a silly movie. A movie whose genesis was a discussion of redundant film titles amongst USC students. One of these funny guys, Chris Whetstone, turned that idea into a movie. We had a good laugh at the premiere, and now he’s put it up on the YouTube, so I’m happy to share it with you. I appear in the second scene, from 0:36 to 2:52, and again for a few seconds near the end. I’m especially proud of how I channel Horatio when I remove my shades. So sit back and enjoy silliness, clichés, parodies and a very frightful shark. youtube.com/watch?v=smJskrMZXAU
I think Michael Faulkner is particularly funny, and the talented actor playing Captain Vendetta — whose best line is the final moment of the film — is Marc Bossley, whom I ran into 3 times in one week, including the premiere. Small world, sometimes.
A month ago — four weeks to the day, in fact — I shot the following short with the insightful and talented Johnny Fraser and his small crew. This piece is original, creative and disturbing.* A creepy twist on the idea of what the first day of school means. Shel Silverstein in a whole new light.
* I mean it. Forewarned is forearmed.
The promo is out and on the big screen! Here I am, late for the show and in the middle of dating angst — as per usual — then rescued miraculously, and she likes me, and the show is good, and all is well with the world. Because I’m a member.
It was great to work with Siobhan (my date), Shelley (usher), Alice (writer/director), Patrick (D.P.) et al. on this project. And I found it great to see myself on the big screen at the Coolidge. Look for me next time you catch a flick at this fine, fine theater.
